Tencent Cloud launches Web3-native product to empower developers

Tencent Cloud, the cloud division of global technology giant Tencent, unveiled its first Web3-native product: Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC. Developed in partnership with blockchain service provider Ankr, this groundbreaking offering aims to provide dependable Web3 infrastructure and developer services to Web3 creators. Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC enters the scene as a robust blockchain node infrastructure solution, offering speed and stability to developers navigating the rapidly evolving Web3 environment.

This newly introduced RPC (Remote Procedure Call) service simplifies data querying and transaction processing on multiple blockchains. Developed in collaboration with Ankr, it guarantees a high level of stability for the underlying node infrastructure. Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC enables developers to interact with blockchain networks with minimal latency, allowing them to focus on decentralized application development.

Beyond easing blockchain access, Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC addresses the limitations and complexities of building and maintaining nodes. These challenges encompass high operational costs, resource demands, sudden node updates from blockchains, stability and availability concerns, and elastic scaling difficulties during periods of high demand.

Key features of Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC

Public and Premium Versions: The service provides a free public version with specific features and rate limits and a premium Pay-as-you-Go version with increased request throughput and enhanced rate limits. An enterprise-exclusive version, expanding blockchain support and global coverage, is in the pipeline.

High Concurrency Performance: Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC offers strong performance with regular request volumes of up to 1,800 per second per chain, backed by Ankr’s node expertise.

Ultra-Low Latency: Leveraging Tencent Cloud Performance Services, the service boasts a main interface latency of under 5ms.

High Disaster Tolerance and Availability: Distributed architecture and efficient load balancing ensure service stability and availability, reducing the risk of single-point failures.

Transparent Billing: The service features clear and straightforward billing based on the number of requests, with no additional fees for Archive Node requests.

Technical Support: Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC provides 24/7 enterprise-level technical support, with dedicated personnel offering exclusive services.

Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC is now available in the Hong Kong and Singapore availability zones, serving customers worldwide. It currently supports three popular blockchains, including Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Smart Chain, and Polygon PoS, with plans to add more Layer-1 and Layer-2 roll-up blockchains. With Tencent Cloud’s user engagement tools, security products, and cloud infrastructure, Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC aims to empower developers and projects to accelerate Web3 innovations.
