Good news and some not-so-good news for iPhone users

It’s always better to share some good news first! So, the good news is related to the 2022 iPhone SE, released earlier this month. The biggest problem iPhone users face is battery drainage. However, it is now revealed that the iPhone SE battery has seen a significant rise in its battery capacity compared to the 2020 version of the iPhone SE.

According to a video review on YouTube by PBK reviews, the 2022 iPhone SE uses a 2,018mAh battery, higher than the 1,821mAh battery unit used in iPhone SE 2.

Apple extensively spoke on iPhone SE during its launch event earlier this month. According to Apple, iPhone SE 3 can deliver up to 15 hours of video playback, 10 hours of video streaming, and up to 50 hours of audio playback. In the 2020 iPhone SE, the 1821mAh battery gave 13 hours of video playback, up to 8 hours of video streaming, and up to 40 hours of audio playback.

The good news is not over yet. Now the users can unlock iPhone with the mask on after iOS 15.4 update.

Apple had released an update to its operating system to iOS 15.4 earlier in March, and one can unlock the iPhone with a face ID while wearing a mask. All the compatible iPhones can now update to the latest version of the iOS.

The updated version of iOS 15 comes pre-installed in the newer iPhones, SE 2022, and new colour options for iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max that hit the stores on March 18.

The most significant update is that all compatible iPhones can now unlock face IDs even with a mask on. However, the feature works only with iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models. iPhone X was the first model to use a face ID, and even though the users can update their iPhone to the latest version of the iOS, unlocking iPhone with the mask on will not be available to them.

Battery drainage problem with iOS 15.4

And, in not-so-good news, there is a notable setback for iPhone users. The users face a battery drainage problem after updating their smartphones to the latest version of iOS.

Users had faced a similar issue when iOS 15 was released in September 2021. And, now, with the update of iOS 15.4, a few users have reported the same problem.
