Elon Musk seeks public support to save Twitter from bankruptcy

Had to save Twitter from bankruptcy, says Elon Musk

Elon Musk claimed that the last three months had been very stressful since he “had to save Twitter from bankruptcy” while simultaneously carrying out his responsibilities at Tesla and SpaceX.

“Last three months were extremely tough, as (I) had to save Twitter from bankruptcy while fulfilling essential Tesla & SpaceX duties. I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. Twitter still has challenges but is now trending to break even if we keep at it. Public support is much appreciated!” Elon Musk tweeted.

Elon Musk recently made an appearance in court in connection with his tweet about Tesla stock. The billionaire discussed his problems since taking control of Twitter in October 2022 with his attorney during the San Francisco trial. As a result of his increased workload, Musk is reportedly experiencing issues like insomnia and back pain.

“I had trouble sleeping last night, so I’m not at my best. I’m sorry for squirming around. I have quite severe back pain,” Musk was quoted as saying by The Wall Street Journal.

Elon Musk’s working hours exploded to 120 hours a week

Soon after striking the Twitter deal, Musk’s working hours exploded to more than 120 hours a week from as much as 80 hours before. The media reports also claimed that Musk was residing in the Twitter office and had transformed certain conference rooms into bedrooms.

According to Musk, there are still issues with the microblogging platform.

“I go to sleep; I wake up, I work, go to sleep, wake up, work—do that seven days a week. I’ll have to do that for a while—no choice—but I think once Twitter is set on the right path, I think it is much easier to manage than SpaceX or Tesla.”

“To be extra clear, Twitter is definitely not financially healthy yet but is trending to be so. Lots of work still needed to get there,” Musk said.
